“It’s a blessing in the sky” & “When it rains, it fours”.
I did a set of illustrations for the Philippine Daily Inquirer’s “2bU” section, for their Summer Style Guide, released April 5, 2013.
I was tasked to illustrate scenes around a photo based on the elements Earth, Wind, Light, Water, and Fire. All the drawings are done digitally, with vector and vexel bases.

Using the September 1958 cover of Better Homes as the inspiration for this commission, I wanted to show the idea of community by making the whole illustration look like a platformer. I wanted everyone to be in close proximity to one another - with houses, buildings and different places of work as points of interests.
The layout was revised to make it fit the different screen sizes of the iOS app. I also included in this post the screenshots on the iPad app.
I worked with Chris Sybico, art director of Paypal on this project.
My Adventure Time fan art.
I will make more… & Young Justice too. I heart Young Justice & Regular Show.

Another portrait trade, this time with the most excellent, amazingly talented Mich Cervantes who drew that portrait when I was actually wearing that burger shirt. Eerie. Check out her stuff at http://themichlife.tumblr.com/
SHE’S ONLY 17??!?!?!
I’ve decided to make this a continuing side project between artist friends who happen to make amazing art. You can view all of them so far here.
Portrait Trades 2013, or Portrades? Portrades sounds bad. Whichever catches on.
Dan Elijah Fajardo AKA dandingeroz is a pretty amazing graphic designer/illustrator, and one of the best shirt designers I know. His style and range is awe inspiring and it’s always awesome to see the stuff he comes up with.
